Sorry, I have now retired from all ceremonies

Why choose Nicole Celeban as your funeral celebrant?
Because everyone has a unique story.

I believe that sharing your loved one's life story will help you to begin to heal.
My priority is to create a service that recognises achievements, and pays tribute to the person's life.
A funeral service needs to be more than well written, it needs to be delivered well.

In my nineteen years' experience as a celebrant, background as a secretary, office administrator, and as a popular radio presenter, you can be assured that your loved one's funeral ceremony will be conducted with warmth, sincerity and attention to detail.

A Quote from Dally Messenger III (Principal, International College of Celebrancy)
"Nicole Celeban is one of those rare people who really has a "vocation" to be a celebrant.
She was a pioneer Funeral celebrant in NSW.
Reports often came back to me, and to her other colleagues, on the high quality of her work.
There is no such thing as a short cut to a good funeral.
The eulogy has to be properly researched, those in grief have to be skilfully advised, and the ceremony needs to be carefully planned.
This Nicole does with conscience and a creative sense of responsibility.
She has the necessary skills and judgement.
The problem of finding a suitable celebrant is often difficult.
Those who trust Nicole Celeban with this important task have nothing to fear!"

A Letter from Bernadeta (20 May 2013)
Dear Nicole,
I would like to personally thank you for your excellence in managing my late husbands Service. Your warm friendly approach to detail and being aware of the family's grief made the process of arranging the service flow with ease in honoring my husband's wishes.
My late husband Ian had a therapy dog "Sage" and your efforts in supporting Sage in attending the service was commendable. This gave a completion of the family as a whole in respecting and remembering the life of Ian.
Your ability to compose the life of Ian captured the core of his life. Your professional experience in supporting my children in composing their remembrances of their father was very well appreciated. This in itself brought healing as they could honor and celebrate their father knowing that he was so significant in their life.
The service was memorable capturing the essence of Ian's individuality, the love for his family, his strengths, attitude to life, and the love for this earth, and this has touched many who attended the service on the day and thereafter.
My warmest regards,

These are my ten personal promises to you...

  1. I will ensure that the funeral is personal, and conducted with sensitivity, care and compassion.

  2. I will visit you at home (or a mutually convenient venue) to discuss the ceremony and your requirements.

  3. I will prepare the ceremony and the eulogy, and telephone you no later than the evening prior to the funeral for any additions or changes.

  4. I will provide a personalised candle for the service.

  5. I will assist you with music selections.

  6. I will dress in a dignified manner.

  7. I will arrive at least twenty minutes prior to the service.

  8. I will provide a copy of the eulogy and any readings or tributes in the form of a beautifully presented booklet.

  9. I will organise and introduce family members or friends who are delivering eulogies, tributes and readings.

  10. I will coordinate final details with the funeral arranger/director.

I have found that as a professional celebrant, I am unable to deliver a high quality service for the amount offered by most funeral directors.
Did you know that most Funeral Directors offer the celebrant around $200-300 per service?
Did you know that conducting a funeral service is often emotionally draining?
To conduct a quality funeral service that pays proper tribute takes time and effort.
My usual fee for a funeral service and interview within 20kms of the Penrith CBD is $650 for up to ten hours work and preparation.
For a service and interview outside the Penrith area, a travel fee would need to be negotiated.
For funerals that take over ten hours of preparation, an additional fee of $65 per hour will be applicable.
For more information, you are welcome to call me on 0427 393 699.

Experience has taught me that many families don't know where to start when it comes to the production of the "order of service". If required, I can also relieve some of the stress associated with arranging a funeral by offering to produce and print order of service booklets at very competitive prices.
Please don't hesitate to telephone me on 0427 393 699 to discuss your requirements.
